Well we decided to start a blog as we're fairly far from most of our family. This would make it so that you were able to view Amélia's progress as she learns about this big world she was thrown into 6 months ago. To get you all up to speed: Mealie is now 6 months & 1 week. She's getting big, over 17lbs and is 27inches long now. She's got quite the personality and is into everything she can get her hands on. She started rolling front to back & back to front about 2 months ago but she's now starting to make use of it. We have layed a blanket down on the floor of the living room and she spends most of the day wobbling around on the floor. She's really taken to the bright colors of Dora the Explorer and a couple other Treehouse TV shows.
We have also started trying Amélia on foods. So far she has tried sweet potatoes, squash, green beans, peas, wax beans and creamed corn. She's enjoyed most of the food but peas are not high on her list of foods to eat. They make much better finger paints! :)
The other day Amélia was on the floor in the living room and came to visit Mommy in the kitchen. It was really cute! Also she's really taken to her ball. It's deflated a wee bit, just enough so that she can pick it up. Amélia gets REALLY excited when she sees it. LOL She may be small but she is pretty tough, she's made a couple loud thunks while rolling around on the floor and just kept playing.
